Begonia Fine Foods has immeasurable skill and experience, but above all, the most important ingredient in every dish is LOVE.

Ja and Liesl met in Marshall, NC when he began his position as head chef in a bistro on Main Street in downtown Marshall. They have three sons and have made Marshall their forever home since 2007. Ja has been a sous chef at Star Diner for the last two years, while simultaneously working as the head chef/owner of Begonia Fine Foods. Since hurricane Helene and consequently the closure of Star Diner, the team has put everything into Begonia Fine foods. Ja and Liesl strive for excellence and have great passion for serving their local community. They specialize in weddings but enjoy creating inspired menus and memories for all special occasions.
